Kitchen installation in London
Kitchen installation works best when the water, waste and appliance positions are agreed before units and worktops are fitted. We check the existing services against the proposed layout and identify any pipework changes early.
The scope can include sink and tap installation, waste connections, isolation valves and plumbing for dishwashers or washing machines. Any gas, electrical, cabinet, worktop or decorative work must be included clearly in the agreed quote before it starts.
Send the proposed plan, room photographs and product details through the quote form. We will confirm the work included, the installation sequence and any items that need a separate specialist.
Plan plumbing before the units are fitted
A new sink position or appliance run changes where supplies, isolation valves and waste connections must reach. Send the proposed kitchen plan, room photographs and the locations of the current sink and appliances. Note whether the new layout keeps the sink on the same wall or moves it, since access to the floor, wall and cabinets can change the plumbing work.
The waste route needs to be assessed against the proposed layout; a long run or a cabinet arrangement may limit practical positions. Agree the required pipework before worktops and units close off access. If the existing services cannot be seen until removal, the quote should state what is known and what needs checking on site.

Sinks, taps and appliance connections
Sink size, tap holes, waste fittings and space beneath the unit all affect installation. Send the chosen product details and the cabinet or worktop specification rather than assuming a new sink will match the old cut-out. Water and waste connections for a dishwasher or washing machine should be identified in the plan, including where they can be reached for maintenance.
Isolation valves and accessible connections help with future service, but their installation must be part of the agreed work. Tell us about any existing drips, slow drainage or damaged cabinetry before the fitting stage. A persistent blockage or backing-up waste may need separate drainage assessment rather than being treated as a new-sink installation.
Separate the trades and inclusions
A kitchen quote should say whether it covers plumbing only or also units, worktops, removal, decorative finishes and appliance positioning. Gas and electrical work are separate specialist scopes and should never be assumed from an agreement to fit a sink. Confirm who supplies each fixture, fitting and material, and who is responsible for making good after pipework changes.
Worktop cutting, cabinet alterations and final connections have an order. Ask how the plumbing stage fits the wider installation so the installer has the access needed and finished surfaces are not opened again unnecessarily. Any discovered hidden defect or requested layout change should be assessed and agreed before it changes the scope.
Getting a useful quote and checking completion
Send the plan, product list and photos through the quote form. For a straightforward sink replacement, the listed item may be relevant if the existing layout and connections suit it; a complete kitchen or changed layout needs its own quoted scope. Check whether materials, access and other trades are included before approving the price.
When the plumbing stage is complete, check the agreed sink, tap and appliance connections in use and note anything still outstanding. If an appliance is not yet on site, ask which connection has been prepared and what remains to be done when it arrives. Keep the agreed sequence and any changes in writing so a later finishing visit is not mistaken for part of the first stage.

Frequently asked questions
Can you move the kitchen sink?
Often, yes. We first check the water supply, waste route, unit layout and access beneath the floor or cabinets.
Can you connect a dishwasher or washing machine?
Yes. We can install the required water, waste and isolation connections when they are included in the agreed scope.
Do you install customer-supplied sinks and taps?
Yes. Send the product details before the job so we can check sizes, tap holes and connection requirements.
How do I get a quote?
Send the kitchen plan, photographs and product list through the quote form. We will review the layout and confirm the next step.
What kitchen details are useful before you quote?
Send a plan with sink and appliance positions, photos of the existing connections and product details for the sink, tap and appliances. Mention whether units or worktops have already been ordered or fitted.
Does a sink replacement price cover a whole kitchen?
No. The listed sink replacement applies where the existing arrangement is suitable. A larger installation or changed layout needs an assessment and a quote for its agreed scope.
Will you cut the worktop or alter cabinets?
Do not assume those tasks are included in a plumbing quote. Identify the worktop material and cabinet arrangement and ask for any cutting or alterations to be named in the agreed scope.
What if my dishwasher has not arrived by the installation date?
Tell us before the job. We can discuss which water and waste connections are to be prepared and whether final connection requires a separate visit; the written scope should distinguish the two stages.
Can gas or electrical connections be part of the kitchen project?
They must be separately identified and appropriately scoped, rather than assumed as part of sink or appliance plumbing. Ask who will carry out any specialist work and how it will be quoted before agreeing the project.
